Crepe Cake Recipe

Ever since our state has been on lockdown and we have been practicing social distancing, we have had the great challenge of keeping ourselves busy. One of the best things I started to do is baking with my kids. It has been a great way for us to bond over something we all love and that is... Cake!! It provides a fun activity and quality time with my family without needing to go out.

Yes, I said Crepe cake!

I go to New York quite often for business trips, and one of my greatest discoveries in the area is Crepe Cake from Lady M. When we went to NY for a quick family trip, I took them to Lady M and they were hooked since! Now, when I travel back for work,  My kids are always begging me to bring some home.  I will get 3 calls a day from my family- not to see how I am, but to ask if I have picked up the crepe cake yet. Hey, I can't blame them, it is that good!! Since we can't always get to New York, the kids and I decided we needed to learn how to make it!

The First Attempt...

We finally decided to try it a month ago, and the final result was delicious! I documented the process on Instagram and it was a huge hit among my insta fam! Making a crepe cake takes time but is oh-so-worth it! Every one enjoyed it, from my parents to my kids and of course me!  

Crepe Cake


2 1/4 Cups of flour

8 Tablespoons of sugar

6 Eggs

3 Cups of milk

6 Tablespoons of butter

Cool Whip or Whipped Cream


- In a bowl, mix the flour and sugar together

- Add 6 eggs and mix (that will get you a dough-y consistency.

- Melt butter 

- Slowly, add in the milk and butter by alternating while you mix. Think; pour a little of milk, mix, pour a little butter, mix and repeat until you've poured in all the milk and butter. 

-Start by using a non stick frying pan. Heat up the pan. 

-Once the pan is hot, pour in 1/3 cup of the mix and move the pan in a circular motion until the mix has been spread out in the pan making the crepe as thin as possible. 

-Lower heat to avoid burning the crepe.
Once the crepe is dry on the top part, flip over to cook the other side. 

-Place the crepe on a parchment sheet on the side, to cool down. 

-Repeat until you have used up all the mix. You should end up with 19-21 pieces of crepe. 

-On a cake stand, start by placing the first piece of crepe. 

-Spread cool whip or whipped cream to cover the whole crepe. 

-Place another crepe right on top of the first crepe and do the same by spreading cool whip or whipped cream. 

-Repeat which each layer until you get to the end. Place the last piece of crepe and now you're ready to start decorating! 

Side note: You can mix this up. The filling can be changed out to Nutella, jam, custard, or whatever you and your family will like! 


Make sure the butter is melted and the cool whip is refrigerated until you need it.

This is the consistency you should see when the batter is all mixed up.

Pour 1/3 cup of the mix and move the pan in a circular motion

The whole pan should be coated like this.

The crepe should be dry on the top and should have a nice color on the bottom when you flip.

Spread cool whip or whipped cream to cover the whole crepe


Decorate as you please!
